Questions

Common questions

Is it cheaper to go through an independent insurance agent?
Independent agents cost you nothing extra, because carriers pay the commission either way. Since we quote several companies at once, we often find a lower rate than a single captive agent can offer on identical coverage.
What is the difference between full tort and limited tort in Pennsylvania?
Limited tort lowers your premium but restricts your right to sue for pain and suffering after an accident. Full tort preserves that right at a higher cost. It is a lasting choice most drivers make without understanding it. More on auto insurance
How much is homeowners insurance in Pennsylvania?
Recent statewide studies put the average between roughly $1,177 and $2,195 a year, depending on the dwelling limit each study assumes. Your own rate turns on dwelling value, roof age, claims history, and location, which is why we quote several carriers side by side. More on homeowners insurance
Is workers compensation required in Pennsylvania?
Yes. Pennsylvania requires workers compensation from your first employee, with no minimum headcount. Full-time, part-time, seasonal, temporary, and family-member employees all count. A few narrow exemptions exist, such as certain agricultural workers and federally covered employees. Source: PA Department of Labor and Industry, verified August 2026. More on workers compensation
What insurance is required to drive in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania requires $15,000 per person and $30,000 per accident in bodily injury liability, $5,000 in property damage liability, and $5,000 in first-party medical benefits. Drivers also make a tort election, which affects the right to sue after an accident. Source: Pennsylvania Insurance Department, verified August 2026. More on auto insurance
